I’M A FARMER’S DAUGHTER and my early life fulfilled every stereotype that goes with that title. Wide open fields, rows of vegetables, and every farm animal you could name could be found in our back yard. With country living buried deep in my roots, I still crave the wide open spaces of country life and the fresh way of eating if offers. Now, I continue to be a fresh-eating advocate and trust that living naturally is the very best choice.

FROM AN EARLY AGE I HAD A PASSION FOR HEALTH AND FITNESS. At age nineteen, I became a certified personal trainer and worked over fifty hours each week training clients. Later I worked in physical therapy assisting patients with their exercise programs. As my natural knack for business unveiled, I began working in marketing while going to school for business. This led to me developing a business suited for the fitness industry. I added a new certification to my name—holistic life coach; and was equipped to develop my own fitness system, The Skinny Cajun System. With a love for photography, writing, and health, still burning inside of me, I dipped my feet into the publishing business, starting a magazine title, The Fit Life. I worked countless hours on this endeavor, often working for free as the manager, courier, writer, book keeper, and graphic designer. My business partner and I shared different visions for the magazine, both being extremely creative in our own right, it was necessary for us to part ways to develop our own visions. Two weeks later I developed Healthyworks Magazine, a total wellness magazine that encourages people of all fitness levels to delve into healthy living.

My greatest goal in life is to encourage others to better themselves. Through personal training and health coaching, I have seen firsthand that a little encouragement goes a long way. Encouraging others to lose weight is a worthy goal, because weight loss has a way of transforming the inner person too.

I live life passionately, and thanks to my artistic mother I am a determined dreamer with an innate urge to CREATE. So, what’s next? Well, writing is my greatest passion, when I am writing I feel as though my soul is surfing; I’m in total bliss. Likely, you will see me publish more fitness titles, with the aim of reaching a wide audience.
